Time to fall in love all over again
Visually, the Multivan’s clear, timeless shape follows in the footsteps of its ancestors – but also reinterprets the classic design. The two IQ.Light LED matrix headlights and the backlit step create a striking impression at the front. The striking two-tone finish, available on request, and the optional 19-inch alloy wheels, available on the VW Transporter for the first time, are also real eye-catchers. Also new is the 30-colour background lighting. It shows the interior in a completely new light.
Functionality that you can get excited about
One of the main strengths of the Multivan are the folding individual seats in the passenger compartment, which are 25 percent lighter and can be removed in a few easy steps. This makes it even faster to set up specific seating arrangements. Whether face-to-face with the multifunction table in the middle, with all seats facing in the direction of travel or with the exterior seats removed for transporting e-bikes – only a few steps are needed to set up the vehicle interior just how you like it. Another highlight: For the first time, the outer seats in the passenger compartment can be heated – ensuring that the kids are also cosy and warm on cold winter days.
High quality for every journey
In the Multivan, you can feel just as comfortable in the city as you are on the motorway. Regardless of whether you choose the short (4.98 m) or long version (5.18 m): both models are low enough for common multistorey car parks, but high enough on the inside to make your holiday a relaxing experience. The 1.83 m2 large tilting panoramic sunroof is the first of its kind. It increases the height of the passenger compartment by a further 34 mm. It is now even easier to load up and climb into the vehicle. Both the electric sliding doors and the electrically operated rear lid can be opened using a foot gesture – without taking the key out of your pocket. “Keyless Advanced” and “Easy Open” make it possible.
Top marks for the new Multivan in the NCAP test
Five stars for the Bulli: the new Multivan has achieved top marks in the renowned Euro NCAP (European New Car Assessment Programme) safety test. The family and business van impressed the testers with excellent scores, especially regarding the protection of adult occupants, child safety and accident avoidance, thanks to its comprehensive array of modern assist systems.
